This is a short video made some time ago as a collaborative project with artist Jean McEwan. Incorporating back projected film and shadow play. The simple concept/narrative is spun from an idea based upon the original illustration: i want, i want, by Williams Blake. I think this was first shown at 12 squared (12 hours of Art, music and performance in St Georges Hall, Bradford, Saturday 28th July 2007).

Glasgow Rocks

A hurriedly edited video of the wonderful St Deluxe performing Jonathan Richman‘s ‘She Cracked’ with artist Jean McEwan doing a low fi OHP, improvised, visuals set, in the Captains Rest, Glasgow, Saturday 3rd of December 2011.

The end of era for one beatles T shirt

It’s the end of an era and the end of the line for one of Cardigirls Beatles t shirts. This one was perhaps my favourite from all her collection of Beatles t shirts, one of which she wears on a daily basis under her regulation cardi (and that’s not a reference to the Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland). Cardigirl when pressed about what was to happen to the t shirt said: “it’s to be recycled into a cleaning clothe”. So there you have it – a sad sad day here in robert hopes world. Ticket to ride anyone?

A short video work from robertsworld called Dance. It’s a captured fleeting moment of sublime everydayness, turned upside down. ‘Filmed’ (all professional like) on my mobile phone – it held a hypnotic beauty for me and so i thought i would share it with you.

The sound track ‘Tony Alva’ by E. Blake Davis (freely available on www.archive.org) has been added to provide some subtlety.
